Our Instructors

Anton Phillips Sensei 5th Dan is the Wado Kai Chief Instructor, examiner and President of the American Karate Federation, providing Instruction to Black Belts, Instructors and students at venues including Boynton Beach High School, the Boynton Beach YMCA and other Martial Arts Venues.

Anton Phillips began his Karate career in 1966 as a 14 year old teenager practicing Korean Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do. In his early adulthood he practiced Japanese Martial Arts Goju Ryu Karate and in his later years he practiced and taught Okinanwan Martial Arts Wado Kai in the UK and the US. He achieved black belts in Wado Kai and Nisei Goju Ryu. In the past Anton was a Gold medalist, Silver medalist and Bronze medalist in past Karate Championships in the UK and the US. Anton has been a martial arts practitioner for more than 35 years training in the Far East, UK and the US in four different types of Martial Arts. He is currently honored to hold the following ranks, and certifications,Godan (5th Degree Black Belt) Nisei Goju Ryu. Yodan (4th Degree Black Belt) Wado Kai ( Japanese Karate Federation Certification, with Registrations in Japan, UK and the US)

Colin Clapperton Sensei 8th Dan

Colin Clapperton is the Senior Examiner of Wado Kai Florida and Director of the Technical Committee for the American Karate Federation, Colin has been a Martial Arts Practitioner for more than 45 years. Colin has served as Secretary of the European Karate Federation and has been coaching at several tournaments in Japan and Europe. Colin now provides instructions to students at numerous venues in Europe, Britain and USA.

Alyssa Elder Sensei 4th Dan is the Resident Instructor of the YMCA Dojo location. She is highly trained in Wado Kai Martial Arts and Medivial Martial Arts. and has trained in Europe and the US. She is a highly trained Instructor and has won gold, silver and bronze medals in numerous tournaments in both arts.

Alex Williams Sensei 4th Dan is the Assistant Resident Instructor of the YMCA Dojo location. He is highly trained in Wado Kai Martial Arts and has trained in Europe and a number of States in the US. He is a highly trained Instructor and has won gold, silver and bronze medals in numerous tournaments.

Jeremy Mondragon Sensei 3rd Dan is an Instructor of the Boynton Karate Dojos. He is highly trained in Wado Kai Martial Arts and has trained in Europe and in the US. He is a highly trained Instructor and has won gold, silver and bronze medals in several tournaments. Jeremy Sensei is now training for his 3rd Dan.

Shawn Phillips Sensei 2nd Dan is a dedicated Instructor of the Boynton Karate Dojos. He is highly trained in Wado Kai Martial Arts and has trained in the US. He is a highly trained Instructor and has won gold, silver and bronze medals in several tournaments.

Alexy Botero Sensei 3rd Dan is a dedicated Instructor of the Boynton Karate Dojos. He is highly trained in Wado Kai Martial Arts and has trained in Europe and the US. He is a highly trained Instructor and has won gold, silver and bronze medals in several tournaments.
